Description
Young Alexander begins his apprenticeship to become king, while his parents battle over his future. Alexander longs to exchange his mother’s mystical influence for his father’s exciting life on the battlefields of Europe. But before he can become a warrior, he must win a private battle: to have the courage to set himself apart from his parents’ conflicting wishes.
Once more on the path of becoming a warrior-prince, Alexander pushes to earn his father's approval by taming the wild stallion, Bucephalus, all while haunted by his mother's mysticism and Philip's hard military reality.
Alexander works to prove himself as a future warrior-king by conquering the untamed horse Bucephalus, hoping to win his father's respect while struggling between his mother's magical beliefs and Philip's tough military world.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
