Description
A boarding lodge matron lives in fear due to a series of cruel killings of women in the neighbourhood and a new lodger who she thinks is responsible.
A woman who runs a boarding house becomes terrified when women in her area start getting murdered, and she believes her newest tenant is the killer.
Shortly before one of her female boarders is murdered by The Ripper, widow Nell Pearson rents a room to newspaper reporter Tony Adams. When a mandarin scarlet lipstick falls from his overcoat pocket—the same color lipstick The Ripper writes with on mirrors of his victims—Nell fears Tony may be the mad murderer who kills only widows.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
