The Love God

Description

A bold and headstrong woman drives away her future husband with her loud and direct behavior, so she asks the Indian love god to help fix things.

A spirited and opinionated woman alienates her intended with her brash and outspoken ways so she prays to the Indian god of love to remedy the situation.

Willis Foster, a British district commissioner in India, is a confirmed bachelor. His sister Pamela, eager to remedy this, invites from England her longtime friend Louise. Pamela, wise to the local superstitions, arranges to have a native, Bahadur Khan, offer Louise a charm from the love god Aumeera. It’s an offer Louise can’t afford to refuse, for Willis is a difficult man to catch.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
