The Man Must Die
Description
Judge Joseph Bailey, about to sentence a young murderer, is badgered by his son, Jack, who insists the murderer be executed. Jack sincerely believes that his generation has been overly pampered by parents and that severe punishment by wrongdoers is an absolute necessity. When the judge orders 20 years to life for the murderer, Jack denounces him, declaring that someday he will be sorry for what he has done, "just you wait and see."
The son of a court judge is tremendously angered when his father sentences a convicted killer to two decades of life imprisonment instead of death. He then plans to meet the convict to clear things out.
A judge's son becomes furious after his father gives a murderer 20 years in prison rather than the death penalty. The angry son decides to visit the killer in jail to settle the matter himself.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
