The Man with the Claret Mark
Description
As the last surviving member of the DeLacy line during the Irish Rebellion, an Irish matron warns her youthful relatives of the man with the claret colored birthmark on his cheek that haunts their family.
A supernatural tale involving a spectral figure that haunts male members of the de Lacey family, causing their deaths whenever it appears. After the last male heir dies, a young girl named Una remains unaware that the specter has planned the same fate for her.
During the Irish Rebellion, the final woman left from the DeLacy family tells her young relatives to watch out for the man who has a dark red birthmark on his face - he brings trouble to their family.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
