Description
A police officer tracks down evidence from a crooked businessman who uses a banned poison that kills people.
Dr. Louisa Mandeville, plant physician for a company working on a top-secret project, is mystified by the unexplainable deaths of two workers. After some investigation, she suspects that an illegal substance used in production, KCV 144, caused the two to die. When she confronts the company’s president with her suspicions, he offers her $50,000 to keep quiet. She refuses and becomes the third victim. The case seems closed until a nosy reporter starts investigating.
A detective follows the clues left by a corrupt industrialist using an illegal and deadly chemical.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
