The Murder Of Caesar
Description
Frederic Lewis, based on writings of Plutarch. An exhausted, aging Caesar returns home from the Roman conquest of Spain to the acclaim of citizens and the suspicions of senators. He confides a death wish to his best friend, Brutus. A clique of senators led by Cassius and Cicero may make that wish come true, but first they must lure Caesar from his home.
While enemies scheme to overthrow his government, the mighty Julius Caesar receives a warning from the lovely and faithful Portia to watch out for the Ides of March.
As plots to bring down his regime abound, the powerful Julius Caesar is cautioned to beware the Ides of March by the beautiful and loyal Portia.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
