Laura McRae devoted the best years of her life to serving the eminent Dr. Morgan Lowecraft, intimate to presidents and privy to the country’s most delicate national secrets. When Lowecraft asks the dedicated Laura to hand-deliver an annotated manuscript to its author in Florida, an airport mix-up allows Laura the chance to examine the document. What Laura reads convinces her that Lowecraft may be betraying national secrets.
A secretary in her middle years accidentally finds out her boss is secretly giving secrets to the other side, but because she loves him so much, she tries to save him from his own dangerous choices.
When a middle-aged secretary unwittingly discovers that her boss is a double-agent passing on information to the enemy, her deep love for him forces her to protect him from his destructive tendencies.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
