The Old Ones Are Hard to Kill
Description
When a woman's tenant dies and admits to killing someone ten years ago, she decides someone needs to answer for this wrong and starts looking into it herself. She quickly finds two dangerous people who want her to forget what she learned and will hurt her if she won't stay quiet.
Ada Canby has reached her golden years with her sense of independence intact, with a spryness in her limbs, and with very good vision and excellent hearing. But Ada soon learns that there are times when good hearing is not a blessing, proving once and for all that when it comes to murder, there's no fool like an old fool.
After a widow’s boarder dies confessing a decade-old murder, she insists that someone must pay for the injustice and begins her own investigation. She soon turns up a pair of sinister characters who want her to forget what she knows and are willing to silence her if she refuses.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
