Description
When a warehouse night watchman is murdered, police initially suspect robbery but lack leads. Louise Ladue, the victim's daughter, hires private detective George Colby to investigate. Colby uncovers that Ladue's partner in a business deal had been murdered three weeks before. When Louise attempts selling her father's land to pay Colby's fee, the detective suspects buyer Gerald Hawkins is involved after discovering uranium ore on the property. Louise confronts Hawkins with this evidence but inadvertently walks into a trap set by a ruthless killer.
A night guard is killed and his daughter promises her small inheritance to the person who finds the killer. But the inheritance isn't as meagre an amount as she imagined.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
