Description
A young man invents a formula that could destroy the world if it fell into the wrong hands. He and his wife are tormented and threatened to get him to reveal the secret.

Tod Stearns, a secret agent for the government, is kidnapped along with his wife while driving in a limousine to the airport. Their kidnapper, Mr. X, representing a group in the business of selling top secret information from one country to another, demands to know the new bacterial gas formula Stearns is carrying in his head. Otherwise, it's the pendulum for his wife or the pit for both of them.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
