The Power of Zeus
Description
In a future world split into two halves—the Anglos and the Asiatics—early prophecies about the ozone layer have come true, and food production is severely jeopardized. Renowned scientists Jonathan and Miranda Troy must race against time to formulate a soil compound able to withstand the destructive power of the sun’s unfiltered rays. But while on their special mission to the planet Zeus they accidentally discover another formula that has the power both to save and destroy the world.
A pair of scientists is sent to the planet Zeus, and subsequently meets the planet's pompous and overbearing commander who sports a Texas drawl. On the alien world, they must discover a way to avert the world-wide threat of starvation caused by a massive hole in the Earth's ozone layer.
Two researchers travel to the planet Zeus where they encounter the world's arrogant and bossy leader who speaks with a Texas accent. On this strange planet, they need to find a solution to stop global hunger caused by a giant gap in Earth's protective atmosphere.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
