Description
A gifted but struggling actress becomes obsessed with a glass snow globe and wishes she could hide inside it to get away from all her personal problems.
Pulchritudinous Marcy Herrick, pushed hard by her ailing mother and ambitious agent, ultimately reaches the pinnacle of success in the film world, despite the fact she never really wanted to be an actress. On her way up she marries a producer, who soon dies tragically during a drunken marital squabble. Convinced she was the cause of his death, Marcy turns to drugs to ease her feelings of guilt.
In order to escape the emotional baggage in her life, a talented but troubled actress dreams of being able to seek refuge in a glass snow globe she has an unusual fixation with.
An ambitious actress climbs toward success despite personal reluctance, marries a producer who dies during conflict, and subsequently struggles with guilt and substance abuse as she grapples with responsibility for his tragic death.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
