The Resident

Malvina Thripp is determined to live peacefully in her new rural home. But when a drifter named Viola moves in and announces that she is there to stay, Malvina learns what it is to be afraid in her own house and tries desperately to regain control of her life and her home. The tense triangle is rounded out by the menacing presence of a strange cat, which seems to take sides in the conflict.

When Malvina Thripp moves to the country, she didnt anticipate having two house guests, both uninvited and unknown, quite so soon. The first is a decidedly unfriendly cat; the second is a young girl who seems intent on taking over Malvinas life and house, with the cat as an ally.

Malvina Thripp wants nothing more than a quiet life in her countryside house. Everything changes when a wanderer called Viola shows up, moves in, and declares she's not leaving. Now Malvina feels scared in her own home and fights hard to take back her house and her life. Making things worse is a mysterious cat that seems to pick sides in their battle.
