Description

Alfred Parrish, lonesome and alone in Berlin in 1890, falls for Major Jackson's blandishments to see St. Petersburg before returning to Yale. Shy Alfred Parrish dreams of visiting St. Petersburg, and the charming Major Tom Jackson promises him that they can make it happen no matter what. However, when they arrive at the Russian border, Alfred finds out he has been tricked into a lie that could trap him by himself in a Siberian prison for ten years.

Timid Alfred Parrish, longing to see St. Petersburg, is assured by the charismatic Major Tom Jackson that nothing can stop them. But when they reach the Russian border, Alfred discovers he has been pushed into a deception that may leave him alone and imprisoned in Siberia for ten years.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
