Description
It was 30 years ago that James and Martha Burns invited their college chum Slade Brown to their lodge for a weekend of hiking and trail-blazing. Shortly after his arrival, Slade was found dead in front of the fireplace, with James standing over him dangling a rifle. His mind completely blank, James could not defend himself. Now, one prison term later, he returns to confront Slade’s ghost who is said to haunt the vacant lodge and to find out what really happened.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
