The Secret of Laurels
Description
At his trial, Philip Hudson staunchly maintained he had not killed his wife’s lover even though, after the murder, he was found on the floor unconscious, gun in hand. Out of jail, he returns to his former home, Laurels, now in a dilapidated condition, and confronts his house keeper, still living there. She refuses to change her mind about his guilt and tries to keep him out of the room where the murder took place, a move that strengthens Hudson’s belief in his innocence.
In this gothic sealed-room murder mystery, a man is convicted of killing his best friend. His son sets out to prove him innocent, suspecting that it was his father's widow who did it.
A son believes his father didn't murder his best friend and thinks his stepmother is the real killer in this dark mystery set in a locked room.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
