Description
Denis de Beaulieu is chased down a dark street by hooligans and tries to hide in the shadows of a doorway. To his surprise, the door opens. As he backs in, the door suddenly shuts. It has no inner latch. He is trapped by the Sire de Maletroit, who has had the door designed to ensnare the young man who dares to send love notes to the sire's beautiful niece, Blanche. But he's caught the wrong man, who faces death unless he consents to a marriage with Blanche.
Denis de Beaulieu runs down a dark street as thugs chase him and tries to hide in a doorway. The door opens unexpectedly. When he steps inside, the door slams shut with no way to open it from the inside. The Sire de Maletroit has trapped him with a special door meant to catch the young man who has been writing love letters to his pretty niece, Blanche. But he has caught the wrong person, who must either marry Blanche or die.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
