Description

An art broker hires a private investigator to look into the case of an associate that fell victim to vicious a scam.

A millionaire art collector buys four paintings by a famous German artist, but his agent, Ursula Derringer, maintains they are fake—the owner had promised the originals to her. To track down the forger, Mrs. Derringer hires private investigator Tom Westerly, who quickly becomes irritated when she refuses to answer his more pertinent questions. She, in turn, shows much irritation when he includes her among five possible suspects.

A private investigator gets hired by an art dealer to find out what happened when a business partner got tricked by a cruel con game.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
