Description
Charles, who suffers from moments of insanity, has taken his wife and daughter to a remote farm owned by his elderly uncle to escape city tensions. The uncle ultimately becomes the target for Charles' "perfect murder."
Hoping for refuge, Charles Dering moves with his wife and daughter to the isolated farm of Uncle Jonas, but they fall into brutal labor and oppressive isolation that culminates in tragedy and insanity, with a relentless ticking clock above all their heads.
Charles Dering takes his wife and daughter to live on his Uncle Jonas's remote farm, seeking safety, but they become trapped in harsh work and crushing loneliness that leads to madness and death, all while time runs out for everyone.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
