The Tell-Tale Scar
Description
A crime journalist and a district attorney pair up to track down a gangster who is believed to be dead.
The Forum’s ace reporter, Ted Brooks, is certain that restaurant owner Paul Galvano is really Mobster Tony Campo, who was supposedly killed in a shoot-out. He is sure because both men have the same tell-tale scar on their faces. District Attorney Webb Morrison agrees, but the records show that Campo was pronounced dead by a doctor and buried by a reputable undertaker. Defying the law, Brooks and Morrison disinter Campo’s casket. They find no body, only a sealed gold box containing the gangster’s ashes.
A newspaper reporter and a prosecutor team up to find a criminal boss who everyone thinks was killed.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
