Description
Art Hollis, whose aim in life is to be a doctor, quits medical school to take over his ailing father’s drugstore. He marries Elaine, “the prettiest, nicest” girl in the neighborhood who turns out to be a real shrew. But he sticks with her and their only child for 20 years. Then his friend, Dan Fenton, points out how simple it would be for Art, as a druggist, to murder Elaine. They carefully plan it, Art not realizing why Dan is so interested in seeing Elaine eliminated.
A man is brought into the hospital suffering from an apparent stroke. But as he retells the final days of his life for us, we find his demise was much more complicated with an uncaring, selfish wife and her paramour.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
