Description
Instead of delivering the $50,000 his bookie owes to a gangster, Sid Parks goes to the roulette wheels in Vegas and loses the entire bundle. His wife, Alice, points out that Sid’s life is not for long if he doesn’t get up the cash in a hurry. Sid’s only hope is his 86-year-old Aunt Esther, owner of a large life insurance policy naming him the beneficiary. But Aunt Esther is not ready to die, at least from natural causes. Sid must overcome that little problem within a week.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
