Description
A modest lumberjack camp cook has the gift of clairvoyance, but her visions don't always predict nice things. After a particularly nasty vision involving a newcomer at the camp, she decides to interfere with fate to forestall a death.
A humble camp cook who works for lumberjacks can see the future, but her visions often show bad things happening. When she has an especially terrible vision about a new person who just arrived at the camp, she chooses to step in and change what's supposed to happen to prevent someone from dying.
Ruth Ann Mitchell, a large, gangly girl who cooks with her grandfather for a camp of lumberjacks, has the unearthly and frightening capacity to foretell events. What she sees for newcomer Tim Farrell frightens her enough to take actions that confound not only Tim but most of the other lumberjacks.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
