The Unquiet Tomb
Description
A remote island is home to an old ship captain and his assistant. Their peace is disturbed when a young family move to the island. When their children suffer mysterious deaths, they are entombed under the house and condemned to eternal damnation.
An elderly sea captain and his helper live alone on a distant island. Their quiet life gets turned upside down when a young family arrives on the island. After the family's kids die in strange ways, they get buried beneath the house and cursed to suffer forever.
An old salt, Captain Jack O’Shea, appropriates a small remote island on which he builds a house of coral and a large tomb for himself. As people living with him die, he permits their coffins to be put in the tomb—first, his housekeeper, then the two children and wife of a very close friend. But for no apparent reason, the children’s lead coffins are often found moved to different places, and the housekeeper’s wooden coffin starts to deteriorate. The captain also faces another problem: wondering why ships he sees headed for his island never land.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
