The Walls of Jericho
Description
A modest attender at a men's club discovers his extraordinary gift of bringing characters to life from his imagination - literally. But they do exhibit a tendency of being out of control.
A quiet member of a gentlemen's club finds out he has an amazing power to make imaginary people become real. But these characters have a habit of going wild and causing trouble.
Near retirement and tired of hearing himself referred to as “poor old Drindl,” Drindl plays a modest joke on the snobbish members of the Boston Men’s Club in which he serves as steward. When the joke appears to succeed, he plays another and can’t resist a momentous third one, only to find that he’s conjured up apparitions that get out of hand with magical results.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
