The Weavers of Death
Description
A detective investigates when his former girlfriend dies in a convenience store holdup, but he discovers a darker conspiracy behind her murder.
Three people, including Eleanor Brodey, are killed in a grocery store holdup. Police sergeant Bob Clifton, once engaged to Eleanor, soon discovers that the holdup was only staged to make it appear that she was an accidental victim of an ordinary holdup. She was actually murdered because of her knowledge of the swindle her new boyfriend, Lester Crain, is about to pull. With little to go on, Clifton decides to confront Crain directly, not knowing that Crain's partner is desperate enough to kill again.
An investigator looks into the death of an old flame during a robbery at a mini-mart. He soon uncovers a more sinister plot.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
