Description
A duo of professional swindlers enlists the services of a hapless American painter in a plot to scam the king of a Balkan country. Determined to pull off the con of the century, the unlikely tag-team work together and in the process, learn that they share a great deal more in common than they realized.
Oliver, a semi-successful con man, has stumbled into a remote little country off the coast of Australia to find that an old buddy of his, Jake, has conned his way up to the throne of the little nation. In the process of using his old friend at the top, he falls in love with the young American artist who is painting the king’s portrait, and finds a way to gain money, freedom and the lovely young artist in one fell swoop. But it is a long shot, and con artists do not take long shots.
Two expert con artists recruit a bumbling American artist to help them trick the ruler of a small European nation. As the unlikely team works together to pull off their biggest scam ever, they discover they have much more in common than they first thought.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
