The Wheel of Life

Description

Rudy Kastner, saved from dying in a jungle by Vietnamese monks, looks up his wartime buddy, Joe, now a cab driver. Rudy recalls his experience with the holy men who he claims control the Wheel of Life and who had promised him the U.S. presidency in 1995. Rudy wants Joe to become his right-hand man in the Forward America crusade that will take him to the White House. Joe is tempted, until he realizes how Rudy plans to run the country.

A former soldier meets an old war buddy he thought died in Vietnam. His friend has become a powerful leader of a new political group and wants him to join. The soldier learns that his friend's amazing rise to power was planned by the universe.

An ex-soldier runs into a former colleague he believed dead in Vietnam. Now the friend is an influential leader of an upcoming political movement and asks him to participate. He finds out that his friend's stupendous ascent was fated by the cosmos.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
