A little girl thinks an angel left her a magic rock that grants wishes, but the wishes go wrong in unexpected ways.
A young girl believes an angel gave her a wishing stone. But her wishes don't turn out quite the way she intended.
Jenny Lou Coulter, a country girl whose father’s addiction to gambling insures the family of unending poverty, tries to keep secret her acquisition of a wishing stone. Her mother and brother don’t want her father to know about it because he will try to use it to win at poker or the race track. Only when he commits a dastardly act does Jenny Lou tell her father of her treasured possession. The 16-year-old country girl believes it is from the hand of an angel, and that it will help her father.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
