The Witching Well

Description

After his father dies, a young man travels to a remote Irish village to uncover family history, but discovers dark secrets about the town and shocking truths about his father and himself.

Patrick Kinsella is instructed in a letter from his recently deceased father to continue paying $800 a month to one Boann Connaught, who lives in Branwell, Ireland. Because such a payment amounts to nearly $10,000 a year and because he has no idea who Boann Connaught is, Patrick journeys to the Emerald Isle. In Branwell, he meets Boann, a little wisp of a woman who reluctantly tells him a story he can scarcely believe.

A young man goes on a discovery of the past with the death of his father. He heads to an isolated, little village in Ireland and learns its terrifying secret and more about his father and himself than he ever intended to.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
