Time Out of Mind

Description

A college kid gets hurt in an accident and discovers his family's past is haunting him. In a strange turn of events, he travels back in time and takes his uncle's place during World War II. Now he has to complete a mission to help his dad.

A young student is beset by his family history when he meets with an accident. In a bizarre twist, he seems to journey through time and replaces his uncle during WWII. He must fulfill a task to aid his father.

As Scott Pittman is driving through Kansas on his way back to college, his father, Theo, tells him about his uncle, after whom he was named. The uncle was killed during the invasion of Italy, and Theo often wondered if the uncle had received a letter Theo sent him, apologizing for the way he had mistreated him. Moments after their car crash, Scott wakes up in Italy in 1949, learning that his uncle had received the letter and had written a reply, hoping against hope he would live long enough to send it to Theo.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
