Description
A small time hustler is forced into a moral dilemna where he must choose good or evil when he is confronted by the Devil himself.
While visiting his girlfriend Gussie in the diner she recently inherited from her uncle, small-time gambler Bones Terwilliger magnanimously picks up the $1.97 check one of her customers claims he can’t pay. The customer introduces himself as Apple (admitting later that he is Satan) and offers, because of Bone’s kindness, to help him become a millionaire. All Bones must do is what Apple tells him to do—first with his bookie, then with a stockbroker.
A petty con man faces a tough choice between right and wrong when the Devil shows up and forces him to pick a side.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
