Uncle Louis
Description
Reporter Arnold Miller, about to expose corruption in the mayor’s office, is shot to death by a hired assassin while sitting on a park bench. First to see Miller’s body and to call the police is a widow, Helen Pauli, who after questioning by detective Terry Smith is suspected of withholding certain crucial facts. One is that her 5-year-old daughter witnessed the shooting. But Helen in no way wants her little girl involved in the investigation. Notes: This episode was originally titled “Say Goodbye to Uncle Louis,” but was changed shortly before the actual episode was recorded.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
