Where Fear Begins
Description
A schoolteacher gets a telephone call for help from her sister, rushes to her aid and finds her dead. The look on her sister’s face convinces Amanda that her sister Vera had died from sheer fright. Not believing the police report that her 26-year-old sister died of cardiac arrest, Amanda demands that an autopsy be made. Not until she takes one of Vera’s EN-30 “sleeping” pills, a prescription from a Dr. Swalley, does Amanda begin to realize what really happened to her sister.
A young woman becomes suspicious about how her sister died and starts investigating. She discovers that her sister's medicine came from a doctor no one knows anything about.
The strange circumstances surrounding her sister's death prompt a young woman to dig deeper. She soon learns that the medication her sibling was taking was prescribed by a mysterious doctor.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
