Will the Real Amy Stand Up?
Description
A young, psychotic heiress must face up to the fact that her relatives in her own house are trying to murder her. But an imaginary friend from her early school days comes back to aid her.
Amy Trowbridge, just past 21, suddenly finds herself alone and ill-equipped to care for herself after years of nursing her invalid and tyrannical father. Shortly after his death, two kindly and compassionate cousins—Hedley and Hester Spence—turn up and offer to live with Amy in her spacious country mansion. But their interest is more in Amy’s large fortune than in her well-being.
A mentally unstable young woman who inherited wealth discovers that her family members living with her are plotting to kill her. However, a make-believe companion from her childhood returns to help her survive.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
