Woman from Hell

Actress Jennifer Grenelle's death is officially listed as a suicide, but her husband, Lawrence Ducaux, doubts the police report and sets off on an international search for clues. Jennifer's diary, which he locates in Paris, tells an incredible story of a witches' club that promised her fame if she'd convert others. Trying to verify the story, Lawrence is aided by Durrell Jones, a detective hired by one of Jennifer's former lovers. But when the diary says her lover belonged to the club, Lawrence wonders whether Jones is really helping.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
