Conquest

Haunted by the 1924 disappearance of Mallory and Irvine, climber Chase Hamilton returns to Everest, determined to conquer its north route. As snow, altitude, and internal conflict claim team members one by one, Hamilton must confront not only the mountain, but also what summit means.

East coast broadcast. The first man to conquer Mt. Everest finds another man's cigarette lighter at the top! The program was broadcast on the West coast on January 12, 1951.

Chase Hamilton can't stop thinking about how Mallory and Irvine vanished on Everest in 1924, so he goes back to the mountain to beat its north side. When snow, thin air, and fighting between teammates start killing his crew one after another, Hamilton has to face both the deadly peak and figure out what reaching the top really means to him.
