Stand-In for Murder

Description

A puzzling tale about a man who kills his wife, then gets his girlfriend to pretend to be the dead woman while he builds his excuse for where he was. The twist that makes it puzzling is that none of this actually happened. In a special announcement, Garry Moore and Durward Kirby try to explain to audiences how the "CBS Net-Alert" system works.

Suspense is a state of anxiety or excitement caused by mysteriousness, uncertainty, doubt, or undecidedness. In a narrative work, suspense is the audience's excited anticipation about the plot or conflict, particularly as it affects a character for whom the audience feels sympathy. However, suspense is not exclusive to narratives.
