Twas the Night Before Christmas

Description

On Christmas Eve, bad weather keeps Kathy Harper's parents from coming home on time. Feeling worried, she sneaks out of the house. Her friends and neighbors get concerned and start looking for her everywhere. They finally check the church and discover her there, unharmed but still quietly praying because she feels scared and misses her parents.

Suspense is a state of anxiety or excitement caused by mysteriousness, uncertainty, doubt, or undecidedness. In a narrative work, suspense is the audience's excited anticipation about the plot or conflict, particularly as it affects a character for whom the audience feels sympathy. However, suspense is not exclusive to narratives.
