Texaco Star Theater was an American comedy-variety program broadcast on radio from 1938 to 1949 before continuing as a major television variety series. It featured changing hosts and became one of the best-known sponsor-branded variety shows.

It was one of the first successful examples of American television broadcasting, remembered as the show that gave Milton Berle the nickname "Mr. Television", and helping propel the sales of Televisions in the 1950s.
