A Model Murderer

Description

When Lou Richmond, a smooth-talking appliance salesman, is discovered by one of his models to be running a fraudulent photography racket, his wife Phoebe, who has suspected him of infidelity, begins to piece together the double life he has been leading. The pressure mounts, leading to a tragic confrontation that ends in murder.

Lou Richmond sells appliances and talks his way into anything. When one of his photography models finds out he's running a fake photo business, his wife Phoebe starts putting the pieces together about his cheating and lies. As the truth comes out, things get worse and worse until someone ends up dead.

Lew Richmond, known in police headquarters across the country as Phil the Flash, has used the line on 17 beautiful young women that he is a famous photographer who can make them even more famous than he. At the same time, he has taken them for some 35 to 40 grand. But when he tries it on number 18, she fights back, and during a struggle in his hotel room he accidentally kills her. Now the police vow to put a quick end to his career.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
