A reporter threatens to expose secrets about a mine owner to steal his turquoise business. She claims she wants to help people, but the miners question her true motives.

Carlotta Quintana has targeted the closed Diablo mines as her program’s latest target. Her reports succeed in putting the miners back to work and net her the mine’s owner, Bruce Elliott, as husband. Mild Elliott is thrilled by his famous wife’s energy and ambitions for him until he learns of a very peculiar trait of Carlotta.

In order to take over a turquoise mine, a journalist blackmails the owner. Her professed intentions seem honorable but the workers wonder about what she is really after.
