Double-Take
Description
Two women find out they're both married to the same lying man, so they team up to get him back for tricking them both.
As small-time writer Susan Powell is accusing renowned novelist Ellie Reynolds of stealing her story, they discover an uncanny number of parallels in their plots. Each has written about what her husband probably does on extended business trips; each has come up with a story of a man who has two wives. After comparing more notes, they find they are the wives of the same bigamist. So, to taunt him, they agree to switch homes and to sit back and enjoy his reactions. But, on her way to Susan’s house, Ellie disappears.
The tensions of a bigamous marriage spiral into a double plot of revenge when two wives discover each other and join forces against their common deceiver.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
