When an old college friend shows up, Claire Layton's dark secret from years ago threatens to destroy everything. Her husband is running for office and their perfect small-town life could fall apart if anyone learns what she did. But when the truth finally comes out, it leads to healing and makes their marriage stronger than before.
Experimenting with drugs while in college, Claire Leighton ran down a boy on a bicycle with her car and left the scene of the accident. Now, 19 years later and married to a prominent state senator, Charles Leighton, Claire fears that public knowledge of her actions could ruin her husband’s career. But when Charles learns that Claire is being blackmailed by a college boyfriend, neither the threat to his career nor life can stop Charles from trying to clear up the matter.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
