Masquerade

Description

The mysterious disappearance of a valuable set of pearls during a masquerade ball lands a gorgeous singer and her boyfriend in a case of international espionage and corporate intrigue.

Shortly after opera singer Lucia Perrugini performs at the Conte Degli Capetto’s masked ball, the countess’s valuable necklace is stolen. All clues lead to Lucia’s date, Cabot Godwin, but Lucia knows he didn’t do it because she bumped into the thief as she left the stage and he kissed her. To convince the police of Cabot’s innocence, she is forced to find the real thief.

A beautiful singer and her boyfriend get caught up in a dangerous spy case when expensive pearls vanish at a costume party, pulling them into a world of secret agents and crooked business deals.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
