An explorer and the son of his former co-worker journey to a distant island and find a mythic goddess who caused the death of the young man's predecessors. They also find an ancient queen who has waited hundreds of years to wreck revenge on the murderer of her lover.

Leo Vincey, 25, and his uncle Holly open a small iron chest containing Leo's father's legacy, ordering Leo to go to Africa and slay the queen who had murdered Killikrates, dead for over 2,000 years and a direct ancestor of Leo's. Holly and Leo set sail and after much adventure come face-to-face with She, the very old but young-looking and beautiful Queen whom the natives say must be obeyed. But instead of killing the beguiling woman, Leo falls in love with her.

A treasure hunter and his dead partner's boy travel to a far-off island where they meet a legendary goddess who killed the kid's family members. They also discover an old queen who has spent centuries planning to get back at the person who murdered her boyfriend.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
