Description

While waiting for a breeze that will start him and his crew home to England, a ship's captain is startled to see a naked man hanging on to the ship's ladder. After coming aboard, Leggatt, a first mate from another ship, admits he had accidentally killed a sailor who refused to obey an order. The captain hides Leggatt in his cabin, knowing he is committing a crime. A strange power has overcome the captain, making him believe he must somehow save Leggatt's life.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
