The Man Who Liked Dickens

Description

An Englishman is imprisoned in the Brazilian jungles by a madman who insists that the prisoner read all the books written by Charles Dickens, over and over.

In the Amazon jungle, explorer Tony Last is bitten by a vampire bat and rescued by the mysterious Mr. Todd, a recluse with an unsettling obsession. As Tony regains his strength, he discovers he's trapped in an inescapable cycle of servitude, forced to read Dickens aloud to appease Todd's eerie demands.

Deep in the Amazon rainforest, an explorer named Tony Last gets attacked by a vampire bat and is saved by a strange man called Mr. Todd, who lives alone in the jungle. While Tony gets better from his injuries, he finds out that Mr. Todd won't let him leave and makes him read books by Dickens out loud every day to satisfy Todd's weird needs.
