Description

After Major Hale's funeral, Fort Laramie feels heavy with sadness. His wife Jesse remembers how she learned to be strong as an army wife and says goodbye with dignity. She meets Mrs. Winton, another army wife who just arrived, and helps her settle into her new home. Captain Quince, a man everyone can count on, comes to help too, showing how the people at the fort take care of each other.

The somber atmosphere at Fort Laramie follows the funeral of Major Hale. His widow, Jesse, recalls her strength in adapting to army life and bids farewell with grace. She meets a new army wife, Mrs. Winton, and helps her move into her cottage. Captain Quince, known for his reliability, steps in to assist, reflecting the fort's community spirit.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
